The current incarnation of Barbie Magazine is published by Titan Magazines of London.  It's the most colorful but least elaborate version of the three different Barbie magazines (Barbie Talk in the 1960s and Barbie, the Magazine for Girls in the 1980s).  Half of it is puzzles and games, the other half is promos for the various Barbie DVDs.  I've copied a page from the June/July 2012 issue.
The best part of the magazine, I think, are the bookmarks and decals that are included.

I've been wanting to find a Nori doll and I've seen her before but at high prices since she is rare now, but I came across this mermaid doll on eBay that I got for about $4.00, and I was wondering, is this Nori? I'm almost 100% sure it is, but I wanted to make sure:

Some of you may remember a while ago I made a post which linked to a funny animated video of Barbie going to a party at Raquelle's house. This video got deleted soon after I made the post.

Well I think it will be coming back soon, as part of a new "reality show": Barbie Life in the Dreamhouse!
http://dreamhouse.barbie.com/en-US/episodes

I just logged onto the Barbie website out of boredom and was greeted to a trailer for this show. The animation style is identical (as in they look and move like dolls). So it looks like that video I linked to ages ago was part of this and got leaked extrememly early!

So what do you guys think? Personally I'm excited, this looks pretty amusing.

I am so out of the loop when it comes to Barbie these days, but I happened to check out http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Barbie's_friends_and_family and noticed Ashley listed at the end and was curious if anyone else has heard of this yet (since there's no source, link, etc. listed that I can see + it's Wikipedia).

If this is true, I am severely against it and this would be only the second or third time I've been openly against a Barbie doll. This has nothing to do with a hatred of homosexuals on my part, before anyone assumes. But this just feels like a bad move on Mattel's part. I mean, look at that description. If Mattel is looking to forward the acceptance of homosexuality, why would they do so in such a stereotypical, degrading way? Why must the guy be European and have a typically feminine name (yes, I realize Ashley used to be masculine)? If this is real, it feels more like they are following the new trend that "a girl's best accessory is a gay best friend" as opposed to actually promoting any real acceptance of homosexuals as individuals.

So, thoughts? Does anyone know if this has actually been confirmed?

Unsatisfied with the current line-up of presidential candidates? You may be in luck. There's a third-party candidate who recently announced her "glam-paign."

She's backed by the non-partisan organization the White House Project, she's not a Washington insider, but she does have plenty of name recognition.

Who is this latest challenger for the White House? It's Barbie, of course.

This video and article talk about a new Barbie doll that will be released with no hair. It also mentions Bratz and Moxie dolls.

I'm so sorry for the triple posts today, but I wanted to share Kelly's sweet status on Facebook:

"So happy to have reprised my role as Barbie in Barbie in a Mermaid Tale 2. Now available on DVD."

She is always so sweet.

Also, a very happy birthday to Barbie!
